What is the difference between Western and traditional age?
Western (this tool) counts exact elapsed age — a year is added only after the birthday. Traditional age counts 1 at birth and +1 each New Year; it is for reference only.
Can I change the end date?
Yes — default is today, but you can set a specific date (e.g. an application deadline) to compute age at that moment.
Are leap days included in the day count?
Yes. The tool accumulates real calendar days, so Feb 29 in a leap year is counted normally.
How do I find a 100-day or one-month milestone?
Set birth as start and the target date as end to see the interval; 30 days is one month, 100 days is the hundred-day mark.
Why is my age sometimes one less than expected?
If this year's birthday hasn't happened yet, Western age is one less than the year difference — that is the definition, not an error.
How do I verify "at least 18"?
Enter the birth date and set the deadline as the end date; the tool shows the exact age at that date so you can check it is ≥ 18.
